Grease and oils are tremendously dangerous stuffs to the latex condoms. When greasy hands, oils, or oil based lotions touch the latex they immediately start reacting with rubber and then weaken it. The condom is then more likely to get ripped off while you’re using it or there may be generation of tiny holes that are almost impossible to see with our human eyes. Always keep hand lotions, massage oil, baby oils, butter, grease, petroleum jelly, face creams, or ointments away from the condoms as well as other latex contraceptive alternatives such as cervical caps of diaphragms. Even grease from makeup or French fries can cause serious damage to latex, and this is why both partners are always recommended to wash their hands clearly before they touch the condom.

For further prosecution, you can insert an applicator of spermicidal jelly, gel, or foam that is made for being used with a contraceptive into your partner’s vagina. Although some brands of condom are pre-delighted with a related spermicide, they may not be that good enough for providing an adequate safely. Use of spermicide is really a great idea throughout the menstrual cycle’s most fertile period. However, you can even prefer using the condom alone if your partner is allergic with spermicide.

Condoms gain ability to last for numerous years after its production if they’re kept properly sealed in their actual packages and placed away from heat and light. One of the prefect places to store condoms as well as any other latex based contraceptive is the refrigerator, during hot weather, in particular.

Never prefer carrying condoms inside your pocket because they might get weakened in case they’re exposed to the heat of your body. If you’ve been carrying condoms along with you, especially during summer season, then it’d be better for you to replace it with a brand new one. Keep in mind that the price of a new condom package is not that big deal with pay to have good protection. And never remove condoms from its packet until and unless you’re about to use it.
