There is narrow, flexible ring at both sides of the female condom. The pretty smaller ring that is inside the closed end assists to locate that end all the way over the cervix and for holding it there. In fact, the open end ring remains outside of the vagina and it serves as the gateway to penis. Alike the man condom, use of a condom more than once is avoided in the female condom as well.

The female condom not just provides protection to the cervix and vagina from microbes and sperm, but it is sized in such a way that open end also offer coverage to the external genitals of a woman and the base of man’s penis, providing perfect protection against the diseases to both the partners. Since polyurethane is used for production of the female condom, they are stronger compared to latex, and don’t tear that easily as latex condoms or develop the tiny holes. Oil based lotions and creams also don’t cause negative impact over it and is far less susceptible to the deterioration that heat exposure or length storage result to. Alike the Avanti condom, it also gains ability to transfers the body heat at ease that means it feels soft and warm quickly and allows more sensation.

However, the Reality condom may create more noise if the lubricant present inside is not spread uniformly all the way around outer end. Moreover, if the intercourse tends to take more time, the lubrication can get used up and this may result in dryness of the polyurethane.
